I am really into Joyce Meyer lately, and am starting to apply some of her teaching to my life. Her tape series It Is Finished is amazing. I've listened to it several times, and there is so much there. I also am reading her book Me and My Big Mouth and that has been great too.
I am working on a list of proclamations about who I am in Christ, and what he has called me and my family to. Joyce suggests we make the list and proclaim it daily. She show us her list in the book and it is amazing.
One of the things she tell herself is "I'm dead to sin." I've tried this when I'm tempted and it helps. Joyce is big on speaking positively. I can be a negative person, so this is really good for me.

Welcome back (to your own blog?). I was sitting here at work this morning after pulling two 12-hour days. Feeling low and used up. These are the times when my personal resistance to temptation is at its lowest. Thanks for the "I am dead to sin" phrase. There may be more behind it, but I like the idea. Satan wants to make me dead with sin, so I am dead to sin.

One of the things Joyce Meyer says, is the we don't know who we are in Christ. If we knew who we really were, it would change us.

Hi, Helen...nice to see you back! Just last night I was reading Ephesians 2 and thinking about being dead to sin and HIS WORKMANSHIP--a new creation. What a relief! He is doing it, in so many ways!
